WHAT WILL WE DO?
Cordoba was a major Islamic center in the Middle Age. It is best known for La Mezquita, an immense mosque dating from 784 A.D. where there is a massive praying hall with Byzantine mosaic art, nowadays also transformed into the Cathedral. The catholic influence is therefore interwoven with the Islamic culture and Cordoba also became famous for the San Rafael Images around the city. Moreover, you can find the famous patios courtyard all around the city and the ancient Jewish neighborhood!
Until nowadays there is a legend about a secret passage connecting the Azahara Medina with The Mosque, but in our case, we are not going to take the fastest highway but the Caliphate Route, visiting the coolest towns between the destinations and admiring the huge olive terraces. Because happiness is all along the way. Don’t forget to check about the famous guitar music festivals that put together flamenco, rock, jazz, blues, classic and much more!
Ready, set, Cordoba!
